This is a part time position 25 hour per week to include Sunday.
Specific hours of work will be at the discretion of Newpoint in coordination with the COR and the senior faith group chaplain/priest.
However, the employee must be available to provide information and resource support to parishioners and clergy during normal duty hours(Monday-Friday, 0900 to 1600) and be available on request for night and weekend work.
Description of Responsibilities.
The RE Coordinator works in conjunction with the Catholic Chaplain and shall be responsible for the overall management, logistical support, and program events/activities for the Catholic Religious Education ministries, Sacramental Preparation, and Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults (RCIA) at Hurlburt Field, Florida.
The duties and services include, general coordination and enhancement of religious education programs and events.
This position shall include religious education program/event administrative and logistical coordination, and any program development elements to provide respectable religious education experiences.
Require to coordinate activities with the individual(s) responsible for other programs and events, such as and not limited to; chapel staff, parish members, and volunteers.
Identify and align administrative and logistical support for all Catholic religious education ministry needs based on: Assist in planning, resourcing, and executing the annual Vacation Bible School (VBS) with the Protestant Parish.
Qualifications: Have a strong written and oral communication skills and be able to efficiently plan and organize, communicate, and manage diverse program requirements.
Shall read/comprehend, write, and speak English fluently in order to fulfill the job description requirements.
Must have a High School diploma ,General Equivalency Diploma (GED) Certificate, or compulsory education equivalency.
Must have the ability and willingness to provide services in an ecumenical and pluralistic environment.
Must be or become practicing members at Hurlburt Field of the respective faith-group associated with the position.
Shall have practical experience (two or more years preferred) administration and coordinating event and must show proficiency in leadership and management practices in a parish setting.
Must be a practicing Catholic with good standing within the Catholic Church.
