Teaching Assistant (TA)

Our work environment includes: * School setting * Clinic setting * Recreational setting Duties: - Assist the lead teacher in implementing educational and behavioral strategies for for children in elemetary school and/or middleschool.
- Provide support and supervision to children during daily activities, including academic time, recess, etc.
- Help create a safe and inclusive learning environment that promotes social, emotional, and cognitive development.
- Implement behavior management techniques to promote positive behavior choices.
- Collaborate with the lead teacher in developing and implementing individualized education plans for each child.
- Assist with curriculum development and lesson planning, incorporating age-appropriate activities and materials.
- Support the lead teacher in assessing children's progress and documenting their achievements.
- Maintain open communication with parents/guardians regarding their child's progress and any concerns or updates.
Experience: - Previous experience working with school-aged children.
- Knowledge of behavior management techniques and strategies for supporting children with challenging behaviors and/or children who need accomondations.
- Familiarity with early childhood education principles and practices.
- Ability to adapt teaching methods to meet the individual needs of each child.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for working with young children.
