Duties:
- Provide one-on-one or small group tutoring sessions to students in various subjects (including reading and spelling as there is a great need for this tutoring for dyslexic students in our area) and grade levels.
- Develop and implement lesson plans tailored to the specific needs of each student.
- Assess student progress and adjust teaching methods accordingly.
- Assist students with homework assignments and test preparation.
- Utilize a variety of teaching techniques and resources to engage students and enhance their learning experience.
- Maintain a positive and supportive learning environment.
- Communicate regularly with parents, teachers, and other stakeholders to provide updates on student progress.
Qualifications:
- Experience working with students, preferably in a tutoring or teaching capacity.
- Knowledge of lesson planning and curriculum development.
- Familiarity with different educational settings such as preschool, elementary, middle school, high school, adult education, or special education.
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with students, parents, and other professionals.
- Ability to manage a classroom or small group setting.
- Background in early childhood education or related field is a plus.
