Air Force Special Tactics Groups train, organize, and equip Special Tactics forces for worldwide deployment in support of the full range of Special Operations missions.
In order to meet current world-wide requirements ODL provides assistance in managing programs that produce mission ready JTAC and SUAS operators, instructors and evaluators.
This position is for the STTS based at Hurlburt Field AFB, FL.
ODL Services is seeking applicant resumes in support of full-time support for AFSOC JTAC and SUAS programs.
These positions will require experienced JTACs to provide Program Management, Instruction / Evaluation, Simulator and SUAS services to AFSOC Special Tactics units.
These positions are not deployed to combat zones.
Specific Tasks:
JTAC instruction, program management and simulator operations
Range scheduling
Maintain proficiency in simulator operations, calibrate and operate simulator equipment
Establish and maintain unit JTAC academics, folders, records and programs
Maintain JTAC and JTAC-I qualification, currency and proficiency
Conduct initial JTAC and upgrade training
Attend conferences, symposiums and meetings to ensure program continuity
Maintain and update the unit JTAC/SIM currency tracker monthly
Provide JTAC, JTAC-I, and JTAC-SEE upgrade and proficiency training in the simulator
Provide instruction for Battlefield Air Operations (BAO), JTAC mission equipment, SUAS, and simulator equipment reconfiguration, upgrade, and modernization
Operate a wide range of specialized equipment and vehicles to include Highly Mobile Multi- Wheeled Vehicle, BAO equipment, SUAS equipment, and communications gear
Accident and Incident Response during training
Conduct operations on training ranges while complying with local procedures
Conduct weather observations
Required Skills/Qualifications/Experience:
Must be a US Citizen and have held a JTAC-Instructor rating
Minimum of 2 years Active, Guard, or Reserve SOF JTAC experience
Must possess a SECRET security clearance with eligibility to upgrade to TOP SECRET
Must have working knowledge of military, local, state, and federal agencies as required for JTAC and SUAS operations
Must possess a valid driver’s license and be able to hold a valid military driver’s license
Have physical capability to lift at least 60 pounds and perform JTAC and SUAS duties in both classroom and field conditions under extremes of heat, cold and inclement weather
Possess land navigation/map and compass skills to locate points of interest and targets
Desired Skills/Qualifications/Experience:
Previously qualified JTAC SEE.
Previously designated Chief JTAC-I and/or SEE
Previously held a TOP SECRET/SCI security clearance
Previously served in a Special Tactics Squadron
